At what point are we gonna call this for the insanity it is? These are college students. Why is everyone from the president on down talking about it? Are people really that desperate to not deal with the reality of finding mass graves full of doctors, nurses, and children?

British students have been blockading weapons manufacturing sites, occupying campuses, organizing teach-ins and teach-outs, planning local rallies, and attending national demonstrations since the genocide began.

Students have occupied and are occupying several campuses in the UK alone: Leeds, Goldsmiths, Manchester, Bristol, UCL and others. They've made similar demands to the US movement. The key difference, I'd say, is the reaction from university management and media. 1/6

It is so funny Columbia set a dramatic midnight deadline for negotiations before they called cops to clear it and then backed off with an extension for 8 hours last minute. Both cowardly decisions.

I condemn any potential police action on Columbia University's campus. As an educator who personally experienced the over policing of our schools, this is personal to me. We must resist right-wing demagoguery and stop suppressing peaceful protest if we are to keep students safe.
