THIS is what makes me mad. People are having weddings and aren’t worried because their friends “aren’t at risk.” When you attend an event in-person you cannot just think about your own health. PLEASE think about the immense and far-reaching consequences before attending events.

Raphael Warnock is speaking now, and just honored his mother: “Because this is America, the 82-year-old hands that used to pick somebody else’s cotton went to the polls and picked her youngest son to be a United States Senator.”

don't know who needs to hear this but there are several orders of magnitude between "smashing a starbucks window in general mayhem" and "breaking into the u.s. capitol while congress is in session because you believe the ongoing election certification is fraudulent"

I would love to hear prenatal GCs' take on this story. Sounds like the false negative rates are likely low. The bigger (?) scandal in this story seems to be the lack of genetic counseling for people getting these tests. #GCChat nytimes.com/2022/01/01/ups…

Our letter to The New York Times editor responding to #NIPT screening article has been published. ACMG Pres-Elect Dr. Susan Klugman explains these are screening, not diagnostic, tests; more definitive tests follow positive screens, & pretest counseling is crucial. nyti.ms/3HP5LtA

Reminder: Trainees need to know that their supervisors and program leadership will support and protect them. They need to see it in action. #GeneChat

I’ve been a hospital chaplain now for eight years at hundreds of deathbeds. I want to tell you something I’ve witnessed. Most people, at the end, realize they’ve spent a lot of their life hiding. Sometimes by choice, or because they could not safely choose to be themselves. ➡️

This ABGC board exam season was a complete mess. The exam was bad enough and the way ABGC has handled releasing scores is adding insult to injury. We deserve better. #GeneChat

Saw a patient today for rib pain. On her property, she has a large pond. Many geese stop for both their migrations north and south, but they don't nest there. Early this past summer, one of the geese stayed, and it's been by the pond ever since.
