While many would argue that ‘sustainable growth’ is an oxymoron, success up and down the Chesapeake Bay shows that progress on the #environmental front is possible. bit.ly/3fjBAPz

When wind, solar, nuclear, coal or gas power plants underperformed in February, they left billions of $$$ on the table. When gas producers & pipelines underperformed, they made billions of profits and Texans will pay it for a decade or more even if they couldn't get gas.

It’s worth noting that many of the same people attacking the Biden Administration for leaving women’s rights behind in Afghanistan are eager to control women’s bodies and choices in the United States.

BREAKING: The FBI has now charged an 18-year-old Texas National Guard member in the Beth Israel synagogue fire in Austin. An unsealed criminal complaint includes racist and anti-Semitic entries from his personal journal. Franklin Sechriest already was facing state charges. (1/3)

I’m deeply frustrated & concerned about the assessment of winter resource adequacy released by #ERCOT yesterday. *Everyone* agreed communication & planning needed improvement but yesterday demonstrated little has changed & it might be worse. #txlege 1/🧵 dallasnews.com/news/politics/…

After more than a century of oil drilling in Texas, the state is littered with abandoned wells, the vast majority of which were never properly plugged. It's affecting our land, water, and way of life, and it's time for solutions that work. tinyurl.com/4hyup22a James Osborne

Despite so much ink being spilled about this there's been shockingly few genuinely great infographics on the data center buildout. This piece has a lot, especially this one. The scale is pretty wild

Spending this much $ on fake "parks" on top of I-35??? We don't have it to spend on real parks let alone maintaining the beautiful ones we already have. Council still inexplicably struggling to adapt to new realities post Prop Q, kut.org/transportation…

Austin Free Press has a scorching article about AISD bond elections vs school closures. The mindset and policy framework about bonds in general in Austin needs a reset. No wonder Watson and Broadnax are scrambling post Prop Q. austinfreepress.org/whipsaw-aisd-c…
