NBC News | BREAKING: New York Attorney General Letitia James has sued former president Trump, Don Jr, Ivanka, and Eric Trump for years of allege fraud. She seems to permanently bar Trump from ever conducting business in New York again and seeks $250 Million in penalties.

Today, I filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump for engaging in years of financial fraud to enrich himself, his family, and the Trump Organization.  There aren't two sets of laws for people in this nation: former presidents must be held to the same standards as everyday Americans.

We found that Trump, his family, and the Trump Org used fraudulent and misleading asset valuations over 200 times in 10 years on his annual financial statements. These statements were then used to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars in loans and insurance coverage.

WHAT AG JAMES SEEKS: -- Cancelation of Trump's business certificates, in move known as NY's "corporate death penalty." -- A permanent ban on Trump and his kids serving on any corporate board. -- A 5-yr ban on Trump buying commercial real estate in NY. -- $250 mil in restitution.
