After years of dealing with inflation concerns, WH econ adviser Jared Bernstein points to deflation — lower prices — for milk, eggs and gas.

So I asked, should Americans be rooting for deflation?

Good to see CJ Roberts warning of AI 'hallucinations' in his Year-End Report on the Judiciary.

Citing made-up cases is 'always a bad idea,' he says.

See this example from last April. I asked Bard to explain how speed cameras don't violate the right to confront your accusers:

Everyone should carefully read this excellent piece on Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment by Steven Portnoy of ABC Audio. This is not only what journalism about the Constitution looks like, it's also what constitutional scholarship looks like.

Sixty years ago today, Sid Davis was in Dallas for the Group W stations. He was conscripted to be a pooler to witness LBJ’s swearing in.

He still remembers it vividly and emotionally at age 96.

Kilduff told reporters that Lyndon Johnson had left the hospital. He added that the new president would be sworn in 'as soon as possible.'

Kennedy did not regain consciousness, Kilduff said, adding the doctors told him Kennedy died of a 'bullet right through the head.'

Formal word on Kennedy's death came from WH deputy press secretary Malcolm Kilduff.

He gathered reporters and read a brief statement:

'President John F. Kennedy died at approximately 1 o'clock Central Standard Time today here in Dallas. He died of a gunshot wound in the brain.'

Within a few more minutes, the priests who had been called to Kennedy's bedside to deliver the last rites began telling reporters that he had not survived the shooting.

As they shared that reporting, network anchors were careful to repeatedly note that the news was not official.

Other reporters covering Kennedy's trip were traveling in a bus about a dozen carlengths back.

The bus was not able to catch up to the lead car and dropped the reporters off at the Dallas Trade Mart, where JFK had been scheduled to speak.

Many made their way to Parkland.
