Due to recent flash floods, IFRC has released 112,812 Swiss francs from its Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (IFRC-DREF) to help the Red Cross in Bosnia and Herzegovina assist 2,600 people with drinking water, food, medicine, hygiene and household items.

In Antananarivo, Madagascar, heavy rains have led to #flooding in many parts of the region! More than 12,000 people have lost their homes or material possessions. Malagasy Red Cross and BNGRC MADAGASCAR are providing material and technical support to affected communities.

Lalaoarisoa Josianne has been a Malagasy Red Cross volunteer since 1997. This was her first time seeing the amount of damage after a cyclone when #CycloneBatsirai hit Mananjary, #Madagascar on 5 February. “People are really going through tough and crippling times,” she said.
