The number one thing to fix most of the daily obstacles teachers face: split the class size in half. This is just stupid and obviously said by someone who has no idea what teaching is like.

Smartest thing I heard from a supt recently: As part of reopening planning, arrange a simulated school day (or even 1/2 day) for key stakeholders (supt, bd, union pres, etc) to "attend" school under draft plan. From bus to class to bathroom, walk in their shoes b4 deciding.

fully half my education came from watching Wishbone, Bill Nye, Reading Rainbow, Magic School Bus and Carmen Sandiego on PBS and we ought to bring them all back if we’re going to properly educate the next generation.

The "lost generation" narrative certain groups are pushing about kids is straight bonkers. Its been a year. They still got school. Schools, shockingly, are not solely responsible for the raising and education of children. And it ignores and minimizes all the actual lost lives.

This is how Jupiter has protected earth for billions of years. The gravity of Jupiter keeps most asteroids and space rocks away from Earth. Without it earth would most likely be uninhabitable for humans. Mad respect for Jupiter.
