Enjoyed being able to pass on the good news today, to the Officers Commanding VGS and AGS, that the AOC 22 Gp has given permission for the return of RAF air cadet gliding and aerospace training. Looking forward to welcoming our cadets back into 2 FTS over the coming months.

The Prime Minister is to announce what is being billed by Downing Street as the biggest programme of investment in the UK Armed Forces since the end of the Cold War. Labour said "this signals a welcome and long overdue upgrade to Britain’s defences after a decade of decline".

On the 3rd and 4th of November I went down to Royal Air Force Cranwell for my flying aptitude testing with the Royal Navy. Happy to say that I passed for all roles! I had a great experience and look forward to the next stages of my application.

It’s incredible to see the first clinically approved vaccine being given to people today, something that is happening across the whole of the United Kingdom.

RIP to a hero

On Saturday morning we welcomed our first visiting cadets in 16 months. Congratulations to Cadet Wilson from 2535 (Livingston) Squadron on being the first cadet to be awarded blue gliding wings in Scotland in 2021
