Prompt injection keeps getting wilder. Unlike text-based methods, you can't tell by looking at one of these images or audio clips that it's malicious. It can be embedded in a website/email attachment and will alter the model's behavior if it processes it. arxiv.org/abs/2307.10490

I've been student teaching for two weeks. There are 1,000,000 things I could be doing better, but I can't fix everything all at once. What should be my top priorities in the early days, to help me go from drowning to competent? joshuapullen.com/blog/new-teach… (cc Dan Meyer)

I absolutely love the service Vercel offers. They are by far the most pleasant web host I’ve ever used, and the free tier is incredible. but For a long time it has felt like they are starting to become a monopoly in the web dev space. At what point does this turn sour for devs?

👇 Josh needs a win. I wrote up a way Josh could get a meaningful win with 5-10 minutes investment every day next week. danmeyer.substack.com/p/can-we-get-t… x.com/PullJosh/statu…

Just read this article by nanda about how to build a tokenizer. I love the interactive demos! Super useful for wrapping my head around things. nan.fyi/tokenizer

Hi Josh Pullen I was writing some code to remove iframes from my RSS feed and Github copilot suggested some code which is from one of your sites I think. 😄

It has been a while that I have posted about the calculator here. The more I work on it, the more problems I find to fix

2¹³⁶²⁷⁹⁸⁴¹−1, discovered today, is the largest known prime. It's a Mersenne prime (2ᵖ-1), which are easier to find. It took nearly 6 years for the GIMPS software to find it after the previous largest known prime. It was also the first Mersenne prime found using GPUs.

Collaboration tools are one of the things where technologists like myself think we understand the problem-space; We really do not, at all.
