This is why Clojure/script programmers think they’re better than you. They’re probably right.

(I lovvve channels. redux-saga was the closest I could get to that experience, and I loved that too.)

I’m a fan of Dr. Kate Holterhoff’s ability to zoom in and out of the industry view, and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this analysis of the acquisition.

Client side compute & edge compute are converging. Web apps are transitioning where data is processed closer to the user—a move inclusive of not only compute on the device using client side rendering engines like V8, but also the so-called “edge.” 1/6

There’s a particular sigh that comes from people who are domain experts when confronted with surface level criticism, who then try to act in good faith and engage anyway despite knowing they won’t get very far. Those are my favourite people to drink with.

Whilst I appreciate there's a huge volume of improvements in the TypeScript 5.5 release, I'm most excited to see Isolated Declarations finally become real.

Thanks to Titian Cernicova-Dragomir 💙💛 and Hana Joo for leading the way 👍
