Just finished 'Deep Work' by Cal Newport, solid book and I already am more productive. Its amazing how a few distractions really destroy productivity.

What are some leading indicators (i.e goal metrics) one can use to stay technical? Commits? Blog posts? Tweets?

Reading 'Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise'. It shares that Peak performance is achieved by deliberate practice and incremental challenges. The book stresses that experience does not mean expertise, and sometimes means the opposite, fascinating and humbling.
