I've been working hard to create technical presentation for ThingsOn Industrial IoT Platform. As I develop the platform, I understand better that I made the right decision by choosing Proto.Actor. Thank you Roger Johansson for creating such a great framework. #IoT #IIoT #dotnet #csharp #CloudNative
ELSA Workflow 3 looks amazing. It uses Proto.Actor so you can cluster the runtime and scale it.
How did Proto.Actor get its name? Originally I called it GAM, Go Actor Model. But once ported to C#, it needed to Change. The Theme I used for the initial site was called Porto. As GAM used Protobuf, the Porto theme gave me that idea to go with Proto.Actor
Proto.Actor Now I am up to 9 samples for ESLA Workflow v3. There are at least 50 samples that can be created for this workflow engine. github.com/dodyg/practica…
Daniel Sarfati Raph Koster Microsoft Orleans We use Proto.Actor at Beamable -- but credit where it's due!
Updated Azure Container Apps provider for Proto.Actor merged, kudos to Sipke Schoorstra. Now supporting multiple types of nodes in the same cluster.
Working on the Proto.Actor cluster dashboard. Here visualizing cluster consensus. You can see the consensus checks fail for a fraction of a second when a new member joins the cluster
Adding some additional instrumentation to Proto.Actor. and improving visualization in TraceLens. Now it properly displays how actors are spawned. OpenTelemetry FTW :-)
