’RENT CONTROLS’ are here! The amount you can charge on Day 1 of a new tenancy can be challenged in a Tribunal (proposed section 14 (A1) Housing Act 1988) and the amount you can ask for as an increment after a can equally be challenged in Tribunal (proposed section 14 (A3)).
