First Short-tailed Weasel in four years, and one of only a handful in nearly 70-years of small-mammal study in #AlgonquinPark! Outstanding find, Jasmine Veitch (she/her) and team! Check this out LTR-CSEE Wildlife 70 x.com/jsmveitch/stat…

We all know, as the weather gets colder squirrels start to cash food for winter. This includes mushrooms! In order to keep the mushrooms from going bad they will prop them up and dry them. Keeping them fresh all winter long! #MushroomMonth

It's what's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner: Bark, sticks, and twigs. During winter, #beaver visit their submerged food caches to retrieve fodder. These complex stick piles can be habitat for aquatic animals. Ever resourceful, leftovers can be used for lodge+dam renovations!

But they spend most of their day sleeping, no? Is there a way to supply them with a bat equivalent to coffee for the month of June?
