So immensely proud to be a part of this team. The Pop-Up / California Sunday Guild

So thrilled to share a voluntary recognition celebration day with the folks at WIRED Union. Solidarity, friends! ✊

We support and stand with The New Yorker Union in their fight for basic workplace rights at the New Yorker.

✔️ Recognized union ✔️ Zoom backgrounds ✔️ Solidarity Today is our FIRST day of collective bargaining! We’re excited to meet management at the table to work toward a strong contract for our colleagues at Pop-Up Magazine and California Sunday. We’d love your encouragement. Let’s do this.

I love my union The Pop-Up / California Sunday Guild ! I also love unnecessary peace signs. I'm just silly like that 🙃

This was a short-sighted move by Emerson Collective, which cut and run on a beloved media company when the going got tough. And these were illegal and unbargained cuts by management. They have to bargain with our members, full stop, no excuses. x.com/popupguild/sta…

Here is our statement on the cuts at Pop-Up Magazine and California Sunday, where management illegally laid off nine of our The Pop-Up / California Sunday Guild members plus two other workers. mediaguildwest.org/news/statement…

Our management and Emerson Collective agreed on plans for Emerson to sever ties with California Sunday / Pop-Up Magazine in August, according to The New York Times. We should have learned about those plans immediately at the bargaining table. We learned about them on Monday. nytimes.com/2020/10/07/bus…

This week has been tough. But here is one great way to show solidarity with our team: Support our work. Pop-Up Magazine’s Fall Issue premieres Monday Oct. 12 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET. Add it to your calendar. Spread the word. We’re so proud of it. popupmagazine.com/watch/

different bargaining table, same BS — if you claim you can't afford to keep the employees you hired, let's see the receipts. Pop-Up Magazine mgmt needs to do better
