Iran Barbosa Liz Churchill They are based on a specific modern liberal value system (education for all, gender equality, economic growth, inovation ...) and as such an example of racism and - Nazism (in its cultural-superiority traits). Glorifiying the "Enlightened" culture, despising the others.

If it's not a consequence of a tragic personal abuse, then it must be a matter of a - tragic societal abuse. It's not explainable without reference to evil, demons, ... It is obviously not pure irrationality. It's a protoreligion, and as such calls for demonological inquiry.

Animals are alien/angel-like creatures. Definitely a portal to deeper realms of being in the world. Slovenian philosopher Kocijančič writes about animals as one of the realities - beside dreams, language and the nothing - in which something akin to spiritual immediacy is found.

There is something in these beards. As if the spirit of the divine Sophia could nest in there. Long live long patriarchs' beards! Joke aside: In the congregationality of such a meeting there seems to be something deeply Ekklesial and Christian.

"He is that already." What do you mean by that? Ontologically? Physically? Formally? As if it is a matter of law to become a king, and not a matter of a king to declare the law. His power must be displayed, if his 'kingness' is to be confirmed as *real*, as having flesh.

A new essay. "If the experiment of abolishing the concept of religion seems strange, let us imagine how strange our actual condition is. How strange it is to withdraw completely from public view questions about the ultimate reality." open.substack.com/pub/blapodobni…

Pilgrimage is the ultimate tribute to the great cosmic question: Where shall we go to? To John 6:68. After the collapse of modern faith in the Progress, pilgrimage is the logical and most reasonable alternative. Instead of going "Forward" we go on the sacred journey.

That's what allies are for. They sacrifice to save you in your seemingly hopeless situation. So now thats it? The historic debt has been payed? Is Europe after 80 years and after the heroic manoeuvre in Normandy finally independent again?

This reminds me of the scene from Hesse's Siddhartha where the old ferryman peacefully goes into the woods to die. This time, however, instead of the almost mystical peace of the old man's departure, there is more despair and the prospect of war in the air. A sad scene indeed.
