Things have been rough, so I spent the day doing some art. This quote from Dimension 20 🎲 has been on my mind a lot recently.

My sweet Kacie passed away this afternoon. She was cuddled in my arms while we listened to The Horne Section She’s been my sweet happy girl even though these last few weeks of devastating illness. I’m glad for ever day we had together and not quite sure how to move on without her.

I literally just wept over a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because there’s no one here to eat my top crust. I miss my sweet Kacie so much.

Today I order breakfast. Delivery guy knocks on my door, clearly confused. “You live here?” “Um, yes?” “I went to school here.” The joys of living in a former elementary school. That had to be disorienting for the poor guy.

I’ve not been feeling well today. But Juju cuddles definitely help. He can be such a sweet boy when he wants to be!

Ah. Strokes. The gift that just keeps giving. Because of my strokes I have decreased sensation and increased spasticity on my right side. Yesterday, this resulted in my burning myself pretty badly and tonight shattered glass and unknowingly stabbing myself.

Apparently attacking small planes is exhausting work for an almost 5 month old. Don’t worry he is well paid in treats, cuddles, and sink time (he is obsessed with the bathroom faucet).

Unsurprisingly, the The Horne Section dominated my Spotify wrapped again this year and top songs that weren’t their’s were ones I was introduced to through the Horndles (that feels like a lifetime ago! Please do that again. I’m sure I’ll be even worse now with stroke brain)

Does everyone’s cat wake them at 2 am because they want to play in the sink and go for a walk outside or that just my boy’s special brand of weirdness? I consented to turning the faucet on for him. But a 2am pleasure stroll is where I draw the line.

I forgot to lock my walker before laying down for a nap and my cat pushed to the other side of the room. Now he’s just laying here next to me all sweet and purring like he did nothing wrong.
