NHRC, India Member, Justice (Dr) Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi addressed as Chief Guest the Odisha Ability Summit 2026 organised by WE4YOU Charitable Trust in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 21st February 2026.

Today, 42 students & 2 faculties from Techno India University, Kolkata, West Bengal and 45 students from Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi visited NHRC. They were briefed by the sr officers about the various aspects of the Commission's functioning & human rights.

NHRC India Secretary General, Shri Bharat Lal to deliver a special address in the inaugural session of Tourism Leadership Summit 2026 in the presence of Hon'ble Vice President of India and Union Minister for Tourism & Culture in New Delhi today.

The Summit is being organised by USISPF and Sankala Foundation. The highlight will be tracing the great ancient Indian traditions of respect for human values, rights and life by travelling which has been attracting the curious visitors to the country for centuries.

Former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind addressed as Chief Guest the 3-day National Conference on ‘Suicide Prevention, Mental Health Awareness and Compassionate Care’ organised by SNEHA in Chennai, Tamil Nadu with the support of NHRC, India on 26th February 2026.

NHRC Chairperson, Justice V. Ramasubramanian & Secretary General, Shri Bharat Lal also addressed the Conference, which convened national & global experts on suicide prevention covering social media impact, neuro-psychological aspects, vulnerable groups & intervention priorities.
