Enjoyed very much the @scienceirel We are now Research Ireland joint visit to Munster Technological University. Impressed by the diversity of research from arts and humanities to physics and photonics, from basic research to experimental development and innovation, and the interplay with Enterprise Ireland investments.

Today, Rt Hon Michelle Donelan and I will announce €70 million to create research centres to address common challenges such as climate action and food sustainability. Working together, we will unlock the new ideas and innovation that help us deliver solutions for all.

An important advance in collaborative research across these islands, in areas vital to a sustainable future. We hope to develop additional co-centres, and further strengthen North-South research collaboration, and co-operation with UK Research and Innovation

A very interesting IrishHumanities showcase event yesterday at Royal Irish Academy illustrating the diversity of research and research practices in the humanities, and exploring and expanding the notion of ‘impact’. Great to see so many @scienceirel and We are now Research Ireland colleagues there.
