This little beauty caught my eye the other day. An 1883 India Queen Victoria One Rupee stamp, which is not rare by any means. However, I was attracted to the postmark on the stamp. Zanzibar is an archipelago off the coast of Tanzania, all the way across the Arabian Sea.

A King George V beauty from the 1911-13 series that got scanned today. These large format stamps had denominations in Rupees, ranging from One Rupee to Twenty-five Rupees, and were fairly valuable for their price. King George V India, 1913.
