I grow dyer's chamomile and it is beautiful in the garden, beautiful when it hangs drying and it makes the most beautiful yellow on linen.

The dyer's chamomile is the 2 linens on top and the fabric below was dyed with onion skins.

Brexit twats have managed a pile on after I posted this. Basically itโ€™s not British to enjoy continental cheese apparently and they want everyone to live off cheddar and turnips. Nor do they take the point about all small importers taking a hit. Depressing lot.

Richard David Alex Taylor All you people who seem to think itโ€™s clever to want less choice. To be proud of your insularity. You have damaged this country immensely and young people will not forgive you.

Alex Taylor Just chatting to our local Italian deli owners - lots of products no longer available. Our favourite 'young Pecorino' cheese is one. Only hard cheeses on display, that can stand long travel times, and more expensive of course.

Welcome to the world of (5 times delayed) still not quite yet FULL, customs & regulatory borders between diff. customs & regulated territories. There is a reason such borders (UK choice, remember) are destructive towards levels of choice, esp in perishable goods. All at more cost

Spain, France and the others didn't ask for three years' tax returns or anything like that. They made it incredibly easy for Britons to register, even if only in the country days before the deadline.

People should really be appreciative of this.

Ah the high price of Brexit sovereigntyโ€ฆ or rather, stupidityโ€ฆ

One day, politicians will admit this is mad but, apparently, we have to try to make stupid work firstโ€ฆ

Great to see Victoria Atkins on TV today:
Sincere
Serious
And with a slight whiff of WD40.
Vicky squeaks out against traitor Dan Poulter.
Then she reassures us about the NHS.
She is our muffin
Our trainer sock
Our Joyce Grenfell
Our jolly hockey stick.

mainstream I think Johnson. Cameron badly badly miscalculated but in part because Johnson misled him. Johnson has many of the traits of a clinical narcissist and wouldnโ€™t know the national interest if it fell on him. His cynical adoption of Leave for personal gain is unforgivable

Brexit. Never going away. Because if there is an integrated far bigger multi-country market on your doorstep, to which you are not part, then there are always going to be a lot of problems.

Really about time UK politics at least made some effort to think in this way.

UK politics is still in some ways stuck in 2018, unable to fully comprehend the choices that have to be made around Brexit, and hoping there is some magic politically saleable solution. There wasn't then, there isn't now, and until we accept this, progress will be very slow...

Labour's problem too, because it is very unlikely there is a UK-EU veterinary deal that removes all border checks - for that you'd need to be in the single market. Reduction is possible with some alignment, but you are still left with the fundamental processes and costs.
