Kane and I are setting off on a 110miler from birmingham to london tomorrow, with my dad in tow!lazy weekend...
Just reached 1000 pounds with gift aid!!! Thanks for the contributions everyone! Off tomorrow for thurso at 8am
Just reached inverness. No polar bears yet but fingers crossed!
Set off from groats yesterday. Did 116 miles in total.two punctures, one hissy fit due to hunger and arrived in at 10.30pm in alness.
Just embarking on the corrieyairack pass! 2500 feet. Highest public road in the UK. 26 miles of isolation. Epic!
Just arrived into perth for lunch. Epic downhill through the cairngorms last night to pitlochry.feeling a bit sore but otherwise on form.
In edinburgh now. Last 20 miles were bizarrely painful but we made it. Big push tomorrow - 110 miles to penrith.
Just climed a huge hill for 5 miles out of selkirk. Sat at the top eating jelly beans feeling like champions. Another 65 miles to go today.
Just having an ice cream in lancaster. 60 miles down today. Very tough night last night up and down hills on roman road finishing 10pm.tired
230 miles in 2 days. Yesterday was fast but hurt. Scenery below preston not much to write home about but off to family in brum today.woop!
14 miles from gloucester, cutting the miles up on flat, good quality roads. Great stay at parents, and feeling stronger. Go wills and kate!
Covered 80miles in 5 hours yesterday - lovely run from brum to bristol. Off to oakhampton today. Hoping to finish a day ahead of schedule.
Kane had the most spectacular low speed crash yesterday - bounced off a pedestrian, flew off bike then collided with bollard.feeling fine!!!
Final day hopefully. 89 miles to penzance then 9 more to lands end. We are on alert for the beast as we cycle through bodmin moor.
Much higher quality of roadkill down south. Scotland only had squirrels to offer, but in cornwall we are talking badgers and pheasants.urgh.
Incidentally, if anyone is planning to do this, lands end to john o groats is easier due to the prevailing winds being in your favour.
Just reached lands end!!! Woop!!!
