We’re all loving Limerick School of Art and Design, TUS using vacant Debenhams on O’Connell St #Limerick. Inspiring to see ‘meanwhile use’ of vacant buildings tested out in the city centre. Lovely creative space, would also be a great market space. More of this pls Limerick Council - Comhairle Luimnigh 👉heritagecouncil.ie/content/files/…

This survey is a data-driven counterpoint to the random 'facts' presented by the #Limerick City Centre Traders Association LCCTA via Irish Independent article in April: "we can see the vast majority of people who spend money are driving" ⬆️This is not true. x.com/EoinBuckleyLmk…

I sit on the RSA Ireland / An Roinn Iompair - Department of Transport Road User Safety Forum. In our Sept 24 report the risk of serious injuries to Pedestrians in Urban Areas was highlighted as a 'Key Area of concern' Removing the bus lane on OCS in #Limerick will increase this risk. Submission details ⬇️

Advocating for Accessible Public Transport. As the University Experience Chairperson at UL, I’m voicing strong opposition against the reduction in bus lane hours on O’Connell Street, vital for Student Mobility & Environmental Sustainability. #Limerick #PublicTransport

The Active Travel team is tasked with providing new and upgraded pedestrian infrastructure across Limerick City & County Council’s four municipal districts, via funding from NTA Active Travel Programme - the projects are then delivered by Limerick City & County Council's Roads department.

Anne Graham has an excellent record of having an engineering first approach to transport and road safety issues during her time in the NTA. I’m very hopeful that she will bring that expertise to an RSA in need of significant restructuring and overhaul.

We're on the record as saying that the Road Safety Authority is not currently fit for purpose (see linked article) and we stand by that view. The RSA needs massive changes in how it works for anyone to have confidence in it. Best of luck to Anne Graham. limerickpost.ie/2024/04/04/lim…
