We are delighted to announce a new history festival that we will be kicking off with in June!

Full details will be revealed over the coming weeks, but here is a taster of who we have involved and what our plans are for the June Bank Holiday Weekend! A lot of free events too!!

Investigative work into the historic indoor long jump here, has revealed its earth and sand infill is still present, and usable. The hinged floor folds back to reveal the pit, which was built c.1876.

This is the only known indoor 19th century long jump in Ireland #Limerick

Congratulations and best wishes to Canon Bob Wilkinson, who celebrated his 103rd birthday on Palm Sunday. Canon Wilkinson was ordained in 1947 to serve as curate in Holy Trinity Church, Catherine St. in #Limerick city.

He is pictured here in Portrush with the Rev'd Shona Bell.

Recently, Bishop Burrows, along with local civic and heritage representatives, launched our Conservation Management Plan; a key document for the future preservation of the Cathedral. We extend our thanks to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage #Limerick

Our exhibition case is back! This week's theme is St Patrick, featuring material from the eponymous cathedral, including Douglas Hyde's modern Irish translation of St Patrick's Breastplate
