Today in PE Year 1 were looking at fog and sunshine. We thought about different ways that we could move our bodies to represent the slow moving fog and the sun creeping through then clouds.

We enjoyed helping Nature Columbia to plant bulbs at break time today 🌼

We worked in pairs and used cubes to help us find different number bonds within 10. First we looked at 5 and then 4.

We had our first Art lesson yesterday. We were learning how to mix colours to create different ones. We then created our own paintings 🖌🎨

We looked at the difference between a number track and a number line today in Mastering Number. We then drew our own number lines.

We’ve been working really hard on trying to use expression when we read. Listen to these fantastic storyteller voices! 📖

In History we are observing how houses have changed over time. Yesterday we visited the Museum of the Home where we got to see lots of different rooms from homes in the past. We spoke about the different materials we saw and lots of us were surprised there were no iPads or TVs! 😮

We have started our Tennis unit in PE. We were getting to grips with the new mitts whilst throwing and catching today 🎾

We were given a question and asked to investigate possible answers today. We took it in turns with our partners to try different numbers in the part whole model and write an addition sentence.

We’ve been looking at 3D & 2D shapes in Maths. We decided which shapes would be best to build a tower because of their different properties. Looks like we built it just a little too high! Oops!
