Is a difficult true, that we spend all our time avoiding our feeling. There are whole industries built to help us do just that. But the best and only way to be more settled and feel them, acknowledge them, hear what they are telling us and move through them šŸ’œ

This is the reality of a lot of LA’s. while people argue about the semantics ā€˜is it 40 or 20? We lose the point, of impact. Overwhelmed workers CAN NOT help overwhelmed families. Recruiting and retaining is one thing, but collective care is everything šŸ’œ leeds-live.co.uk/news/leeds-new…

What a great outcome. Lovely platform to start the journey to outstanding. Using strengthening families, signs of safety and restorative practice. šŸ’œ

I have worked in public service all my career in one way of another. There are ways that people work that you would only imagine in the cut through corporate world not the caring public world. Let’s all check ourselves and be allies in places we hold privilege šŸ’œ

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Returned to direct social work for a while and I had forgotten how much it takes. Lots of learning. But coming back into the world now and couldn’t think of better better company to do that with. ⁦@NadinePatefield⁩

Sorry to repeat myself, but you *really* need to know this. Under the government's Public Order Bill, anyone who has protested in the previous 5 years can be forced to "submit to ... being fitted with, or the installation of, any necessary apparatus" to monitor your movements.

Ok Twitter family I am finding education as confusing as ever. I have a diploma in social work and 18 years experience. I want to get a degree, so that I can train to be a Trauma Therapist. Anyone know the quickest and cheapest way. I’m about the job rather than the degree šŸ’œ

To my friends in the media: This is a time of high drama, I agree. But while you gossip endlesly about who's in and who's out, you have almost entirely ignored the Public Order Bill that was passed in the Commons this week: the most draconian legislation of the modern era.

Because she was Prime Minister for 6 weeks, Liz Truss will be able to claim a £115,000 annual allowance for the rest of her life. Meanwhile, 1 in 7 people in the UK are skipping meals to pay their bills.

A number of us have been liaising with a journalist regarding Dr Jessica Taylor and her harmful treatment of women like @sallyann98745 and Rosie Flatman I could not, and will not standby and watch the harm being caused while others remain silent. savageminds.substack.com/p/a-psychologi…

The culture in the NHS must change. We need to: - role model setting boundaries - teach doctors to say no -encourage them to leave on time -banish the guilt Because a sustainable career in healthcare needs boundaries. END

Shame doesn’t work on this rancid Tory party so mass mobilisation will be required. A *FIFTH* PM in 6 yrs at the controls of the austerity meat grinder won’t make a difference. Anyone who says otherwise is dangerous. Follow Enough is Enough & stay tuned.

The lovely Davina McCall was raised by her grandma. We Kinship are so grateful that she’s helping us raise awareness about #KinshipCare. 162,000 children in England and Wales are raised by relatives. They need and deserve support. Thank you so much Davina 🌟 #ValueOurLove
