Thank you! Jason Kennedy | Stop Teaching & Design Learning! This arrived this week. Started reading and couldn't quit. Sharing quotes with whomever would listen. "I never want to say to myself again, "I am a great teacher", .... Learning is what we are paid to provide". -Jason Kennedy

US teachers on average spend 28 hours of their work week in face-to-face instruction. Finland? 21 hours. Japan? 18 hours. Who could have guessed that giving teachers more time time to plan, assess, give feedback, engage in professional learning, etc. would improve outcomes?

You can’t demand differentiation and then test every kid the same. That’s not education—it’s politicians playing school and cashing in on it.

𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 It’s disgusting! The amount of money used for excessive testing would more than help if spent in more efficient ways for the schools. Tests prove very minuscule growth and are not as important as PEARSON believes.

This is important. A local teacher lost their job for sharing a beloved kids' book. They need help to pay bills and support their kids. Please consider donating or sharing. gofund.me/1b67380e

I’ve long warned parents: stop trying to bully the teacher where your student earned a C, and be worried when your child has straight A’s but you don’t see any of his work to support the A’s.

I began my life in a foster home, until loving parents adopted me. I’m proud the budget law makes $5,000 of the existing adoption tax credit refundable, helping families grow and thrive in Ohio.
