It was well hidden at first among all the lapwings, golden plovers, black-headed and common gulls, then did a telltale sandpiper sprint into the open.

Not the best video you'll ever see, but here's some shaky footage of the pectoral sandpiper at Nosterfield Nature Reserve Flask Lake yesterday afternoon, surrounded by lapwings.
