His first written effort and only novel; it sat in a drawer for decades. The Dwarfs (sic) shows the clear influence of two even greater masters of the language: Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. One thing I'm noticing about Pinter is that most of his work revolves around foursomes.

"Natasha's bunk held a section of pamphlets like 'Understanding The Consequences Of Social Democratic Deviationism' and 'Towards A Cleaner Complexion'. Perhaps one led to the other; that would be a propaganda breakthrough". Light-years (or versts) better than Gorky Park

I read Myron before I read Myra Breckinridge. With Borges and Böll I read the books pictured and worked my way backwards. Brodie's Report was tied in with The Aleph in many, non-chronological ways. Group Portrait is in my all-time Top 5. Read a lot of Sci-Fi in those days.

1979 was one of the greatest years for pop/rock, this slots right in there with The Jags, The Vapors, and Bram Tchaikovsky. The highest praise I can give. I remember NOT buying this 45 at G. Fox in downtown Hartford and purchasing a cut-out Badfinger record instead---No Dice
