“Slop”, in the way it’s used now, is such a great term. It evokes pigs eating at their trough, which evokes the men-turned-beasts on Circe’s island. Like them, eating slop turns us into pre-rational creatures, forgetting all but the now and the next time we eat.

Paper won't publish my art review because it doesn't capture the "artists intent." Everyone so science-brained they think this shit is about investigating an artwork to discover its objective Natural Law. Why don't we just write an email to the artist and print her response.

Normally, BART riders follow escalator-etiquette and move to one side if standing so as to allow walkers the space to do so. But on Valentine’s Day this rule seemed ubiquitously broken: every rider stood shoulder to shoulder with their partner, and no one complained.

Got eczema for the first time after travelling to the American South, now I apply ointment all day to each section of my body as it itches... like the Messiah repairing his wounds which are the world's sins
