My favorite piece of advice is to increase your "luck surface area". - Work hard - Build a strong network - Learn something new daily If you do those 3 things, luck will find you.

Rule of thumb when positioning in the New Year: If you're a beginner --> Hustle. If you're expert level/seasoned --> Cut the fat & Focus. Big rewards come from different places initially... Once you know your levers, drill down on those with all you've got.

As an indefatigable planner and goal setter, this is a good reminder: “10-year dreams. 5-minute actions. Where do I want to be in 10 years? What can I do in the next 5 minutes to contribute to that outcome?" – James Clear

Many times in life the question is not whether to do thing or another, but when to emphasize one aspect or another. Rest or train? Research or write? Diversify or concentrate? Opposite answers can both be right. The question is which one is the right answer for right now.
