Fantastic to able to share that our recording of ‘The Dragon of Wantley’ has won the BBC Music Magazine Opera Award 2023! As the final chorus states: “Hoozah!”

And the winner of the BBC Music Magazine Opera Award? It’s the Resonus label’s recording of Lampe’s The Dragon of Wantley, conducted by John Andrews and featuring a cast of Mary Bevan, Catherine Carby, Mark Wilde and John Savournin plus the Brook Street Band.

No cast or orchestra members were eaten during the recording of The Dragon of Wantley, we should add.

And congratulations, too, to alumnus 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 for his success at tonight's BBC Music Magazine awards with his recording of Lampe's The Dragon of Wantley! 👏
