Forcing infection on people is a means of committing genocide. It’s been used this way many times in the past. It’s being used this way right now. Choosing not to mask is choosing to be complicit.

It’s wrong to force disease and disability on children. It’s wrong when Israel does it. It’s wrong when Canada does it. It’s wrong when you do it. Wear a mask. Free Palestine. Stop disabling kids.

a lot of people don’t mask because they don’t want to look uncool in front of their unmasked friends and to that I say GET BETTER FRIENDS !!!! Get friends who want to protect you, themselves, and folks in their communities. Get friends who lead with curiosity and compassion !!!

The Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Flu virus doesn’t give one HOOT about borders. Aggressive testing & oversight are urgently needed to CONTAIN its spread. Hubris isn’t a public health strategy.

Okay so how many of the "library is free!"-people wear a mask? Because I've seen a lot of people talk about libraries in the past few days, and only 3 had masks.

When someone dies of Covid - the first thing we usually hear is “what comorbids did they have?” The immediate knee jerk reaction is to blame the person who died. Render them faulty. Less than. An acceptable loss. Expendable. /6

Kelly (@broadwaybabyto) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The problem with this behaviour is that it’s needlessly callous - and incorrect. We are ALL vulnerable to Covid & no one is expendable. Those who are “othered” have immense value. We are no less worthy of life and safety than you. We have intrinsic value not related to health /7

All I can say to those who are suffering and scared right now is that you are not alone. There’s millions who are standing in solidarity with you and will fight to keep you safe. We are stronger together - and love wins out over hate in the end

I mask everywhere I go because you don’t know who’s around you that has disabilities that they can’t acknowledge and address because they don’t have the privilege to Wear a mask is an act of resistance to meet people where they are while not harming them

It really worries me, the rpt pattern here. "Teen was healthy" It shouldn't matter if they were healthy - they're an unprotected kid who got sick. Kids who are disabled or have pre-existing conditions are just as worthy of life. BC gov STOP valuing some lives over others.

And if I said y’all already live by the motto “your body, my choice” by existing maskless in public spaces and determining other people’s health for them by spreading covid wherever you go? 25% of all covid infections have no symptoms, but all infections cause damage. Mask up.

Ahead of a potential bird flu pandemic, I would give one specific warning: Be *very careful* about whom you trust for information.

I am holding back on posting a lot of my thoughts about H5N1. however, I KNOW that masking and respirator mutual is one of if not THE most important intervention we have right now. I cannot emphasize enough that all who are able to MUST mask and share their resources.

I’m old enough to remember that provinces once said if hospitals were overwhelmed they wouldn’t hesitate to bring back masks. Instead they’re just telling people who need care to stay away.

The MOST vulnerable DON'T ask clinicians to mask due to -Power imbalance w/ health care workers -Fear of being perceived as 'difficult' -Personal insecurities Masks should be MANDATED in healthcare settings with few exceptions thestar.com/opinion/contri…

Kelly (@broadwaybabyto) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It’s never too late to start masking again. Vaxx & relax and herd immunity aren’t working. I know too many people with Long Covid who got it after being told by governments and public health it was time to take off their masks. 🧵/1
