🇦🇲🇪🇺 Had a productive meeting w/ colleagues from the CoE Claire Ovey & Lilit Daneghyan-Bossler. We discussed key human rights priorities in Armenia, including the rights of displaced persons, children, and persons with disabilities, as well as combatting hate speech.

🇦🇲🇷🇸 Honored to meet Ms. Tatjana Macura, State Secretary of Serbia on gender equality and women’s empowerment. We had an insightful discussion on advancing women’s rights, preventing domestic violence, and combating hate speech and discrimination.

🇦🇲🇺🇸 Productive meeting today with the U.S. Department of State delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary Jacob McGee. We discussed key human rights priorities: protection of vulnerable groups, combating hate speech & discrimination, and the need for police reforms.

🇦🇲🇺🇸 I had the pleasure of meeting Zachary Barter, Director of the US Embassy, Armenia Bureau of INL Enforcement Affairs . We discussed key human rights issues, including combating intolerance, discrimination & hate speech, and the importance of police reform and training.

In cooperation with the Council of Europe, we organized the international conference “Business and Human Rights: Corporate Social Responsibility” 🇦🇲🇪🇺The event created an inclusive platform to discuss how to protect human rights in the business sector & share best practices from across Europe

Today, on #WorldRefugeeDay, I reaffirm my commitment to defending the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and the forcibly displaced. We must ensure dignity, safety, and justice for all. Their voices matter. Their rights matter.

Today, the world marks the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. As HRD and NPM, I stress the urgent need for systemic reforms, real support for survivors, and effective, independent investigations. Torture must have no place in our society.

From 30 June to 4 July, as a member representing Armenia, I participated in the 117th plenary meeting of the CPT in Strasbourg. We approved the 2026 programme of periodic visits and adopted reports on visits to several countries.
