Maria Velo Midwife thanks for the tag, Maria 😊 oli silverwood-cope (she/her) sent it to me too. Fascinating! I love this growing body of evidence supporting benefits of pregnancy exercises & freedom to mobilise. Although HCPs must be cautious not to prescribe as Instinctive birth positions are best.

doing a piece on midwifery in crisis - why so many key midwives are coming off the register Nursing and Midwifery Council and rebranding as doulas/birthworkers. Excited about a 3-way conversation w superstars Kemi Birthjoy Johnson and Joy Horner - WiseWoman's Hearth Collective Any questions you’d like me to put to them?

'being with' v 'doing to'. To manage influence of care provider presence ask oneself: Am I saying/doing this for the woman/person I'm with or for me? What is the underlying message my words/actions will transmit? Does that message align with reinforcing their power and expertise?
