The Cambridge Coach departing the ‘Belle Sauvage’ one of the great City Coaching Inns, Ludgate Hill 1760 (Old & New #London Thornbury 1878) Belle Sauvage known as the ‘Bell on the Hoop’ was first documented as Savage’s Inn 1452, 40 rooms+Stabling for 100 horses. Demolished 1873.
