We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor, City of London to officially open the Parliament Hill Athletics Track this week. The track has had a £2m facelift after investment from City of London and is now ready for athletes to enjoy. 🏃‍♀️🏃bit.ly/3JKuYst

Grass snakes have been found using the egg laying piles specifically created by Heath Hands volunteers. These are the remains of previously hatched grass snake eggs that were found recently by volunteers. More info on Heath's Hands monitoring programmes 👉 Heath Hands

The recent high winds caused some damage to trees on the Heath, including some large limbs on a willow tree near the Boating Pond. Thankfully no one was hurt and the Tree Team have been busy attending to the damaged trees to ensure they are safe.

In 2023, a survey on the Heath recorded the highest number of bats in the boxes, with 26 individual bats seen - mostly Soprano Pipistrelles!
