Her lips curl upward, a soft smile gracing her features. She laughed softly, shaking her head. “Enough of that,” she smirked. “It’s nice to see you, Peter.”

“I’m… I’m good. I’m alright, considering,”she said softly. Things had been stressful since her dad died; she over scheduled herself as much as possible to avoid having to deal with those feelings. “How are you? You look good.”

She nearly jumped out of her skin, the book she was holding flying out of her hands. “Jesus, Peter—do you have to do that every time?” She scolded lightheartedly, throwing a playful glare in his direction.

She snatched it from him playfully, fighting back a fit of laughter. “You could announce yourself in a way that won’t put me into cardiac arrest before I’m 30.”
