Had a wonderful morning working with the Philosophy 12 students discussing Plato’s Allegory of The Cave. SD 63 Saanich @SD63Claremont The students were super engaged and spoke with maturity as well as being insightful.

When assessing where a student is at now & whether they are “successful” or “failing”, I tend to ask myself: Am I measuring task completion, work ethic, & compliance? Or are we measuring growth over time set to personalized, clear, & achievable goals? There’s a big difference.

Another fantastic experience in the life of a Teacher on Call. Covered a Grade 2 gymnastics class SMUS where the students excelled in negotiating the equipment. It is rare to see gymnastics being taught in school. Congratulations to SMUS PE teacher Gary Barber.

Brilliant event, the Tour de Victoria with multiple distances. SMUS Tour de Victoria Torin took the win in the 160km, (3rd from left), I took the win in the 100km, and Barry was 3rd in the 140km (2nd from right). A good day for our VBCC club.

We don't need months of study to make Cedar Hill Cross safer. The solutions are simple. #Saanich could fix this dangerous section in two days with just a few thousand dollars. Why haven't they done it yet?
