I’m totally gutted to hear this very sad news. RIP Jerry Kiernan Clonliffe Harriers - my great friend, training partner, athlete, coach & commentator. He’ll be hugely missed Athletics Ireland

Arrivederci Jerry! by an old clubmate & friend. ” And still they gazed , and still the wonder grew, That one small head could carry all he knew”. All who knew Jerry Kiernan were amazed by the scope and depth of his erudition... clonliffeharriersac.com/arrivederci-je…

We bid farewell to our beloved Jerry today, in the only way we could, when his cortège passed by and paused for a moment, his many friends lining the street to say goodbye. Arrivederci Jerry, You are so loved by us all ❤️

Thank you SD 63 Saanich for putting on a wonderful Tapestry conference for the ProD Day. Most of all thank you for inviting TTOC’s to take part - illustrated how much you value us. Much appreciated.

Ireland now has four women ranked inside the top-20, more than any other country in the world. If the spikes are so good why can't the rest of the world keep up? irishtimes.com/sport/other-sp…

Had a wonderful morning working with the Philosophy 12 students discussing Plato’s Allegory of The Cave. SD 63 Saanich @SD63Claremont The students were super engaged and spoke with maturity as well as being insightful.

When assessing where a student is at now & whether they are “successful” or “failing”, I tend to ask myself: Am I measuring task completion, work ethic, & compliance? Or are we measuring growth over time set to personalized, clear, & achievable goals? There’s a big difference.

Fascinating discussions with the Philosophy12 students about the structure of society. Investigated Edmund Burke’s belief. Lots of inquiry implemented into their thinking, Trevor MacKenzie @SD63Claremont SD 63 Saanich

Another fantastic experience in the life of a Teacher on Call. Covered a Grade 2 gymnastics class SMUS where the students excelled in negotiating the equipment. It is rare to see gymnastics being taught in school. Congratulations to SMUS PE teacher Gary Barber.

Brilliant event, the Tour de Victoria with multiple distances. SMUS Tour de Victoria Torin took the win in the 160km, (3rd from left), I took the win in the 100km, and Barry was 3rd in the 140km (2nd from right). A good day for our VBCC club.

We don't need months of study to make Cedar Hill Cross safer. The solutions are simple. #Saanich could fix this dangerous section in two days with just a few thousand dollars. Why haven't they done it yet?
