BREAKING: Tonight the City of Kingston, Canada became one of the first medium/smaller cities that I’m aware of to get rid of PARKING MINIMUMS for all non-residential land uses, affordable housing & heritage projects city-wide, plus establish new parking MAXIMUMS across the city!

This election is about building homes that let families stay in Saanich. It's about making our neighbourhoods more walkable & accessible. It's about protecting our environment and creating a sustainable future. A better future is possible: tomorrow's our chance to make it happen!

Basil Langevin (they/them) 💙 I’m excited to vote for you tomorrow. For your passion for diversity and inclusion, your climate action, and your enthusiasm. And… my son deserves to see himself represented on our municipal council.

Though I was unsuccessful this time around, I’m so proud of the campaign we ran and the new perspectives it brought to Saanich! Rest assured, I’m not going anywhere ❤️

Stacey Abrams set a new bar for campaign accessibility. Her entire site is translated into ASL (alongside 6 other languages). Her site even has a Plain Language version! I've never seen this level of care and attention taken by any campaign. I'm blown away!

I think you are right. The time for tinkering has past. We need to be building housing at scale. Planners everywhere need to take a long walk through every part of their city and have a hard think about how much human suffering they are willing to accept. We must use land better.
