Yes. YES. Thank you to the customers who helped our Honeycomb.io System Status Updates team design and hone our solution. This is dope.
Practical Lessons session, “How Is Culture Change Even a Thing? Lessons From Introducing Observability Across the HelloFresh Enterprise,” with Global VP of Engineering Renato Todorov starts in 5 min! go.hny.co/3v0pzDv #hnycon
The chart art gallery is still happening today, co-hosted with Time Series Art. Be sure to join the #chart channel in Slack and share your favorite chart art with us! #hnycon
Join Glen Mailer in 5 min for his session, “The Unreasonable Effectiveness of a Single Wide Event,” and learn how you can reduce event volume at scale. go.hny.co/3g2NLB6 #hnycon
The world deserves vendor-neutral instrumentation. In 5 min, Honeycomb’s Paul Osman talks about #OpenTelemetry and Honeycomb in his session, “Honeycomb & OpenTelemetry: Instrumentation Should Be Boring.” go.hny.co/3v5U2jM #hnycon
🔥🔥🔥 breakdown from Glen Mailer on the nuances of sampling challenges and how to use single ultra-wide events to keep data you might otherwise discard #hnycon #o11ycon in the mysteries solved track!
It's also refreshing to hear just how much you can still debug even without distributed tracing. Awesome seeing creative ways to use Honeycomb.io System Status Updates #o11ycon #hnycon
Liz Fong-Jones (方禮真) 🦋 Honeycomb.io System Status Updates That's what infuriates me about the dumb 3 pillars definitions. Logs are events. Traces are interrelated events. And metrics can be calculated by adding up events. It's ALL THE SAME DATA! By treating it so differently we lose out on really understanding our systems clearly.
Join us in 5 min for the roundtable discussion, “From the Trenches: Honeycomb Battle Scars,” as Frank, [email protected] 🌻, @erickso_e_n, Renato Todorov, Pierre Vincent and @robmeaney share their biggest pain points, lessons learned, and more. go.hny.co/3pE4oWP #hnycon
👏👏👏👏👏 to Glen Mailer for a really great, easy to follow, intro to sampling concepts. There's more nuance to it (see GOAT's Refinery talk in the practical lessons track)! But this was a great take on reimagining your data. #o11ycon #hnycon
The observability metaphor I've been sharing: imagine finding a needle in a haystack. Before—You might need to re-deploy the world to know what a needle looks like. Today—Your haystack tells you what isn't hay in Honeycomb.io System Status Updates o11ycon+hnycon
Sat in on the first part of an amazing workshop about what observability is — and is not — as explained by Honeycomb.io System Status Updates's Liz Fong-Jones (方禮真) 🦋 at #hnycon. I learned more in a space of an hour than I would have perhaps after days of reading. o11ycon-hnycon.io The New Stack #Sponsored
