Vaccines do not cause autism. Dr Andrew Wakefield was struck off for medical fraud. Measles kills, maims and causes permanent brain damage. Please, please chat to a nurse or doctor before deciding not to vaccinate your kids. theguardian.com/society/2018/s…

“‘Are you feeling alright?” I asked her. ‘I feel all sleepy,’ she said. In an hour, she was unconscious. In 12 hours, she was dead.” - Roald Dahl on the death of his daughter, Olivia, aged 7, from measles. The anti-vaxx movement is deadly.

So you’re that skint you have to sell your old stuff to buy new stuff and the HMRC wants to tax you on the sale of something you’ve already paid tax on that you will be selling for less than you paid? Surely taxing millionaires would be more profitable than Sharon’s used tops?

MPs are in line to receive an above inflation pay rise of 7.1% Yet the government didn’t think NHS staff deserved more than 5%, despite a decade of real terms pay cuts. Please RT if you agree health workers deserve so much better. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

The UK has the best hyperkalaemia guidelines in the world, and they’ve just been updated. No one can cover all 171 pages, but here are 3 quick important bits in a thread👇 ukkidney.org/sites/renal.or…

The Government would rather see the NHS spend £10 billion on temporary staff than let them pay permanent staff properly (and therefore retain them). When will this omnishambles end? amp.theguardian.com/society/2024/j…

Not the best day my mum is in hospital has had 3 ABGs which she has found painful and not once has a local anesthaetic been offered. Current BTS guidelines state 'Local anaesthesia should be used for all ABG specimens except in emergencies' and have done since 2008!

Friends - after a day of weeping & pleading before our Lord, united with so many who have been interceding for us, our son's heart began to move late last night! It is weak & incomplete but it is a beat! It sustained and grew all day today. Please keep praying for Gus! Ps. 31:19

The UK Health Security Agency has declared the UK's soaring no. of measles cases a national incident. Measles can - and does - cause brain damage, disability & death. If you’re thinking of not vaccinating your kids, please, please chat to a nurse or doctor. The anti-vax movement is deadly.

We are having an incredibly busy week in our emergency department and one of our managers just posted this into our work group chat. How I know I’m in good hands as a NQN, evidenced here:

Would surgeons accept two patients in an Opertaing theatre? Would intensive cares have two patients sharing one cubicle space? Would oncologists accept other patients in the corner of their consultation and room when breaking bad news? Of course no to all three - but in

Had a challenging visit yesterday to a retired GP who thought it was “disgusting” a nurse had been sent out to assess them…I woke up this morning to a message from a current GP checking in on me and supporting me 🫶🏼 All we all need is respect ✌🏼

I used to think communication was a key until i realized comprehension is. You can communicate all you want with someone but if they don’t understand you or refuse to understand, communication is useless.

What a stunning example of the modern medical miracle of vaccination. Imagine a world without the horrors inflicted by cervical cancer... it's real possibility now, thanks to vaccines 💙 You can read excellent, trustworthy, NHS advice on vaccines here: nhs.uk/conditions/vac…

About to discuss the horrendous conditions inside our A&Es on LBC - & why it is unforgivable for the government to recognise that 300 people/week are dying from A& overcrowding, yet offer so little to address that.
