Very glad this is being raised. I was actually taught by Dr Prinsley at medical school, and now teach in a medical school myself alongside my clinical work. I don’t think the pre-prepared answer provided an answer really.

1/ Today in Parliament, I referenced Court of Protection cases where young women's eating disorders were described as “terminal," "end-stage," and “not treatable." Here are the receipts. 🧵👇 #AssistedDying

WARNING: Have you started to notice "pay by bank app" options at online check-outs. If so it's quicker, it's easier but be aware there's LITTLE PROTECTION. It's on the likes of Just Eat and Ryanair. You don't give card details, just pick your bank, and log into the app (via

To be clear - I gave evidence today to PBC on #AssistedDyingBill as an individual not on behalf #rcpsych. Frustrating format and sense of minds made up. But interesting to be told by Kim Leadbeater that I don’t understand suicide in life limiting illness.

So the 25 medical apprentices studying at Anglia Ruskin med school will be the only ones now the brakes have been put on most level 7 apprenticeships. Wonder if this will mean it is really closely evaluated as a model for #WideningParticipation in medical schools? #MedEd #HPE

Willem Arondéus was a 🇳🇱 artist, author and member of the resistance. He bombed the Amsterdam records office to make it difficult for the Nazis to round up Jews. His last words before execution were "Tell people that homosexuals are not cowards." #LGBTplusHM #LGBTQHistoryMonth

I really wish people wouldn’t post this sort of video, it reflects so badly on the medical profession, and just makes patients thinks people are mocking them. It also relies on a number of biases and misinformation with regards to pain assessment. #TikTok vm.tiktok.com/ZGdDbucSa/

Presented a case at the EFPT group today, what a brilliant opportunity to think about all the emotional aspects of a case. Nice to be on the other side presenting rather than facilitating. Thanks to Gemma & Alina. #Balint #BalintGroup #ReflectivePractice

Clinical Academics These are clinicians jointly employed by HEIs and the NHS to research and teach alongside their clinical work. Although they play an important role in medical education, universities across the country are increasingly unable to afford them. (5/5)

Several MRCPCH candidates blocked from taking their exam after months of grueling prep. Why? Because their access codes FAILED. They were left waiting for 7 HOURS, mishandled by an exam centre that showed NO urgency We demand immediate resits. Not in June. NOW. RCPCH

I cannot understand how Joël Le Scouarnec was convicted of purchasing images of child sexual abuse but considered fit to practice, the hospitals medical director knew & employed him as a paediatric surgeon!? This offence would often result in erasure in the U.K.

🚨 We’re aware that 300+ radiology applicants were wrongly given and then denied offers. This unacceptable error has caused immense stress. We demand transparency & accountability. 1/2 🧵👇

If you spot me around this month, you might have seen me sporting some rather lovely rainbow shoelaces. I'm wearing these for Pride Month, in support of LGBT people in Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and beyond.
