IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi says No radiation release from #Zaporizhzhia. Reactors and plant safety systems are working normally. There was a fire at a training building which was quickly extinguished by fire services located at the plant.

Germany's plan to shut its nuclear power plants before the end of their lives was always irrational, as it meant replacing low-carbon electricity with fossil fuels. If the shutdown is now too late to reverse, it may also be a major strategic liability.
