Yesterday was our lead developer, Ali’s last day with us Setu. It’s bittersweet - he was the first big risk I took at a pivotal moment for the co. 3 years ago, he was a hospitality graduate with no background in tech. He had an interest in Shopify, and I was keen to migrate

Devastated to hear of the passing of Rohan Mirchandani. Despite a manic transcontinental schedule, Rohan was always available to fellow entrepreneurs. He had incredibly infectious energy and warmth. He also built a phenomenal, category defining brand. Perhaps most importantly, he

December 30 and the numbers on Meta have already started to turn! I’m always a skeptic about seasonality - but if there’s one universal truth, it’s that JFM is the dream quarter for supplements/skincare etc

Getting absolutely murdered on Meta these last couple of days 😢keeping the faith though - we’ve got a couple big launches in the pipeline

I’ve spent this week in Rajasthan, and the beauty of India is staggering. But, our inability to cater to tourism is terribly clear. Ranthambore should be the paragon of wildlife conservation tourism - instead it’s just a gutter of a town, littered with tributes to the CM but

I had a funny experience recently - went to a GST Kendra to do my biometric authentication - in a t shirt and shorts (it’s sweltering in Bombay). The desk clerk proceeded to refuse my authentication because I was dressed for a “garden”, not an “office”. What a country. Easy to

Turned off meta spend for a lark a couple days ago, and seeing a 40% drop in NC revenue vs an almost 60% drop in ad spend. Makes you wonder.

TIL that Thailand receives over 35 million foreign tourists a year. India? 9.5 million 🤨 Staggering that we trail so far behind some of our Asian peers. What isn’t surprising is Thailand’s success - I think it boils down to impeccable service at great prices. The Thais just

The moral judgment around GLP1s in india is staggering. We are talking about highly effective, safe drugs that fundamentally address a massive NCD burden in this country (diabetes, hypertension, obesity). Yet people talk about them with such prejudice

A G wagon costs at minimum 3 cr. Our dear CM filed an affidavit disclosing assets worth 13 Cr in his last election. Does this car then belong to the state?? Or who owns it? And where’s the license plate?

For those trying to analyze WB elections - if Kolkata is anything to go by, it’s been a long time coming. It is stuck in another time. TMC famously corrupt and violent. result was inevitable, particularly with strong anti incumbency. Scary overall trend for the republic 1/2

I suspect it’s easy to underestimate the impact of infra progress in other states/cities - and how that affects urban voting patterns. I find it hard to believe that Kol citizens have not been envy re infra and progress in Mumbai, Delhi and other BJP + governed cities. 2/2
