MN House Democrats like Lucy Rehm (D-Chanhassen) want to make Minnesota a sanctuary state, and they will next year if they keep their majority. That means that local law enforcement wouldn’t be able to collaborate with ICE on arrests like this one.

Rehm’s bill even repeals the statute that requires LEOs to notify ICE when a noncitizen is convicted of a felony here in MN.
