This is a fabulous read for schools adopting trauma informed approaches. Although it highlights the importance of relationships it also highlights the need for structure, predictability and skill building.

A wee trip to Edinburgh today to open up discussion about 'The Biology of Behaviour'. It'll be interesting to see where mindsets lie and how this is translating into people's practice.

Had a consultation with a school today. Children were given a map of the school and asked to colour green where they feel safe and red where they don't. SMT are using their responses to make changes and adaptations. Collaboration at its best!

This framed the discussion with school staff today exploring relationships, child development and behaviour. We explored developmental stage as opposed to age. Especially important when considering emotional and stress regulation.
