I started a Substack. It's therapy-focused, with a bit of (very) amateur philosophising thrown in. I'll be honest, it's pretty niche. But if you've ever asked, ‘I wonder why I’m like this?’, then do give it a go substack.com/@nickcampionth…

This is just awful. I don't really do heroes - but sometimes the ones from your childhood stay with you. RA Smith & IVA Richards were mine. Lost count of the times I've watched The Judge cut a ball with unparalleled ferocity or battled the quicks with rare courage. Devastating.

I've been thinking about the value of poetry in therapy. It made me wonder if you, my fellow Twitterers, have any poems/artworks/songs/films etc that spoke to you and stayed with you, offering a new way of being understood or of seeing the world? nickcampiontherapy.substack.com/p/connection-b…

England’s opener today, Zak Crawley, and number 11 Adil Rashid have each batted 251 times in first class cricket in their careers. Adil Rashid has a better first class batting average. #SLvsENG

In my latest Substack, I’m thinking about how some interpretations can come a little too easily – you know, the client is always very busy so the therapist response is ‘What are you running away from?’. But is this doing the client a great disservice? substack.com/home/post/p-18…

For the record, the president of the United States is now simultaneously claiming that he has won the war, is currently winning the war, needs help to win the war, and needs no help to win the war. All to destroy the nuclear program he claims to have already destroyed last year.

If those astronauts go around the moon and can find no trace of Lisa Stansfield’s baby then I really think that’s it, we’ve exhausted all lines of enquiry

I started thinking about unconditional love, then I started writing about it, and it was quite hard to stop. It seemed simple at first and then not so simple by the end. I’m sure it’s meant to be the other way around… Is unconditional love even possible? substack.com/home/post/p-19…
