This is Sly Park Road in Pollock Pines. This is what evacuations currently look like for miles and miles heading out of the area as we head in to bring you current info. Obviously one lane roads make evacuations lengthy and long.

UPDATE: #OakFire - The fire is determined to be human-caused. It started directly west of the Westerly Apts. (at Kipling & 470) in an open space area with several trails & heavy foot traffic. The specific cause is still under investigation. Fire is at 152 acres. Crews on scene.

Some great takeaways from this video. 1. Always be on air when battling a Lithium-ion battery fire. 2. CO extinguishers are not effective on medium to large lithium-ion battery fires. Water without foam is recommended for cooling and preventing Thermal Runaway.
