Today we learnt about Henry VIII, his wives and children. Northumberland Heath Primary School

Year 5 have had an exciting Big Bag Day! We trained to become astronauts by testing our memories, reaction skills, teamwork and listening skills. We also designed our own solar systems, using chalk.Northumberland Heath Primary School

Pine class had fun creating some excellent drawings using the styluses that NHP Year 5 won, in the Woodland Academy Trust trust wide competition, during our well earnt recognition time. Northumberland Heath Primary School

It was Big Bang Day for Year 5 today and we focused on the Maya civilisation. We learnt about, and played, their deadly ball game ‘Pok ta Tok’, made hot chocolate and discovered why it was so important to them as well as painting our faces in a Mayan way.Northumberland Heath Primary School
Year 5 had an amazing time with The Chocolate Museum today. They learnt about the history of chocolate, tasted and made chocolate. It was a very exciting and tasty experience! Northumberland Heath Primary School
Today we immersed ourselves in our new topic, Super volcanoes. We found out how super volcanoes are formed, experimented with cola and mentos to explore why volcanoes explode.
